The Ballad of the First Party

The Ballad of the First Party begins a traditional anime RPG fantasy adventure about the adventuring party history forgot.

The great war is over. The Hero Party has been celebrated in every capital, guild hall, and tavern song across the realm. But before the heroes won, another party walked the final roads first — a paladin, an ogre fighter, a hobbit bard, an elf ranger, a dwarf cleric, and an old human mage.

They failed to defeat the great evil. The songs call them cowards.

When the First Party reaches the tired farming village of Ashfen, they find mockery waiting in the lanternlight. To the villagers, Elara Dawncrest and her companions are only the failures from the famous tavern ballad — the adventurers who ran when the world needed heroes.

But beneath Ashfen, an old war-dungeon begins to wake. Forgotten magic cracks under the fields, sealed monsters stir in the dark, and the village that mocked the First Party may soon learn why veteran adventurers still stand straight when their name is spoken.
