Aurora and Eventide

Aurora and Eventide are the sword and shield carried by Elara Dawncrest in The Ballad of the First Party.

Eventide, the shield, bears the face of the sun but represents the duty of standing against the dark. It is the part of the pair that endures the blow, absorbs the fear, and holds the line when night presses closest.

Aurora, the sword, is the answer that follows. Bright, clean, and radiant along its edge, it represents morning breaking after the long watch. Where Eventide receives the darkness, Aurora carries the promise that darkness will not have the final word.

Together, the two artifacts reflect Elara herself: a paladin who does not simply shine because the world is bright, but because she has chosen to stand where the light is needed most.
