Lucian Gale

Lucian Gale is the human mage of the First Party, an older scholar-adventurer whose calm manner hides a dangerous command of arcane power. With gray hair, spectacles, and a blue robe trimmed in gold, he looks more like a professor than someone who has survived cursed ruins, broken wards, and monsters born from old magic.

Lucian’s strength is knowledge sharpened into action. He studies seals, counters hostile spells, reads forgotten inscriptions, and recognizes magical threats before they fully reveal themselves. When raw power is needed, he can bring it — but he prefers understanding what a spell is doing before deciding how best to break it.

Physically, Lucian is one of the party’s more vulnerable members, which is why the others protect the space he needs to work. Once protected, he can turn the entire course of a fight with wards, counterspells, and carefully placed destructive magic.

Lucian is polite, curious, and unsettlingly calm around dangerous things. When the old magic wakes, Lucian is usually the first to understand why.
