Captain Gridlock — The Heavy Hitter

Captain Gridlock serves as the steady center of the Hyperforce crew, a leader defined less by spectacle and more by control. In a team filled with unpredictable personalities and experimental technology that rarely behaves as expected, Gridlock carries the responsibility of keeping the mission focused and the chaos contained.

Unlike many heroes who thrive on dramatic displays of power, Gridlock approaches problems with structure and discipline. His instinct is always the same: assess the threat, establish control, and prevent small disasters from turning into world-ending ones. Unfortunately for him, the Hyperforce crew seems to attract situations where the laws of reality are more suggestion than rule.

That responsibility becomes clear during the events of Episode 1: The Basement Problem, when an unexpected visitor named Uncle Glick casually appears in their headquarters and begins building an impossible laboratory beneath the team’s base. While the others react with confusion, curiosity, or reckless enthusiasm, Gridlock immediately recognizes the danger of letting unknown forces run unchecked.

Leading Hyperforce means accepting that the impossible will happen sooner or later. Captain Gridlock’s role is simple in theory and exhausting in practice: make sure the team survives long enough to deal with it.
