Reid Calder

Reid Calder is a retrieval and extraction specialist who handles the physical side of difficult jobs. People, hardware, evidence, and cargo are his territory, especially when reaching them means rooftops, utility corridors, tunnels, service shafts, damaged buildings, or routes never meant to be exits.

Direct, practical, and highly self-contained, Reid notices the things other people miss when they are focused on the objective: blocked exits, weak flooring, blind corners, bad sightlines, climbable surfaces, and places where someone could become trapped. He dislikes unnecessary risk and has little patience for people who create danger just to look impressive.

He grew up around layers of rebuilt infrastructure, learning how to move through abandoned transit sections, drainage systems, industrial corridors, and maintenance spaces. That eventually turned into courier and retrieval work, where he earned a reputation for recovering things other people had already written off.

Reid understands that reaching the target is only half the job. When a plan fails, his instinct is not to save the plan. It is to find another way out.
