The first sign is simple. No reflection.

Or something worse—eyes that don’t belong to you. Too many. Too aware. Watching instead of following. That’s the tell.

Once it begins, the process is quiet. There’s no violence, no struggle. Just a gradual shift where the version in the mirror becomes more certain… and you become less so.

The consequence is not death. It’s replacement.

The Sunder-Self steps forward into your life, wearing everything you used to be, while what remains of you is pushed somewhere behind the surface—still aware, still watching, but no longer real.
