Rin Aoki

Rin Aoki is the youngest member of Galactic Salvage Crew 99 and the Overdraft’s resident hacker. Surrounded by obsolete computers, incompatible hardware, and corporate security systems, she has developed a talent for forcing machines to cooperate—usually through a mixture of skill, stolen components, and complete disregard for warranties.

Rin prefers physical technology she can open, modify, and understand. Her oversized headphones, battered data equipment, and home-built cyberdeck are rarely far from reach. While modern corporate systems depend on wireless networks and biometric authorization, Rin often finds her way inside through forgotten maintenance ports, exposed cables, and vulnerabilities nobody thought worth repairing.

Impatient, argumentative, and intensely curious, Rin regularly clashes with Jax over risk, power consumption, and the meaning of “leave it alone.” Beneath the attitude, however, she is fiercely loyal to Mara, Henry, and the strange little home they have built aboard the Overdraft.

Finding the Eden disk transforms an ordinary salvage job into the greatest technical mystery Rin has ever encountered.
