Nari Bell is the newest waitress at The Cosmic Bar and Grill, still learning the rhythm of the station after only a few weeks on the floor. At nineteen, she is eager, kind, and careful, trying to keep up with trays, timing, regulars, and the strange little habits of a restaurant built inside a deep-space waystation.
Nari has an extraordinary memory for names, orders, faces, preferences, repeated phrases, and tiny details people mention once and forget. She does not use it to show off or act like a detective. Most of the time, she simply remembers the right drink, the right table, or the thing someone quietly hoped another person would notice.
She is close with Sena and Dani, who help her settle into the front-of-house team in different ways. Sena teaches her how to read the room, while Dani shows her how much warmth a casual conversation can bring to a tired table.
Nari’s gift is quiet hospitality. She notices the birthday someone pretends does not matter, the regular who always almost orders something new, or the passenger who needs a little patience, and she lets those details become small kindnesses.
