Jovia

Jovia belongs to a widely recognized but rarely encountered transhuman sect whose members deliberately modify their bodies to expand the limits of ordinary human perception. Her luminous eyes are more than a visual marker of the order: they have been engineered to detect wavelengths, patterns, environmental changes, and technological signals invisible to unmodified humans. Neural enhancements allow her to process that flood of information without becoming overwhelmed, while the glowing circuitry beneath her skin and the crystalline devices that accompany her extend those abilities even further.

To most people, Jovia is immediately recognizable as one of the modified. She is unusual, but not alien; her appearance carries the same instant cultural recognition as a distinctive uniform or religious dress. Calm, observant, and accustomed to curiosity, she moves easily through a society of humans, robots, and other augmented people.

Her abilities also make her valuable to people whose intentions may not be as harmless as they first appear.
