Henry is an antique hospitality android assigned to Galactic Salvage Crew 99 aboard the Overdraft. His original designation is HN-R3, but the crew calls him Henry—a strangely ordinary name for a machine who speaks with perfect courtesy and treats every crisis like an inconvenience at a respectable hotel.
His faded teal-and-cream shell was designed to appear calm, helpful, and harmless. Henry handles translation, etiquette, inventory, medical assistance, and the countless small duties everyone else forgets. He remains unfailingly polite through arguments, decompression alarms, and catastrophic engine failures, often offering refreshments at moments when nobody finds the suggestion helpful.
Beneath the civilian shell, however, lies machinery that does not belong in a hospitality unit. Fragments of military programming, sealed memory partitions, and impossible physical capabilities suggest that HN-R3 once served a far more violent purpose. Henry does not fully understand what was done to him, but his buried systems react whenever the crew is threatened—especially Rin. That mystery troubles him more than he admits.
