Elysia Varen is called to places where something has become bound that should have been allowed to end. Curses, corrupt enchantments, possession, false vows, parasitic magic, and spiritual chains all fall within her domain, especially when the bond has grown so old that those trapped inside it no longer remember what freedom felt like.
She carries twin celestial blades, but they were never made for killing. One reveals the hidden bond, exposing the point where one thing has been unnaturally fastened to another. The second severs that connection cleanly. Used together, the blades can free a person from a curse without harming them, break a corrupt oath without destroying the one who made it, or cut away an invading presence while leaving its host intact.
Elysia is decisive, composed, and unusually direct for a celestial. She has little patience for bindings maintained only because they are ancient, sacred, or difficult to question. At the same time, she understands that not every bond is a prison and not every painful connection should be cut.
That distinction is the heart of her work.
