The Stonewatch Summons

The Stonewatch Summons was the royal notice that called the gathered powers to Stonewatch during the crisis surrounding the Horned Queen.

Issued under King Aldren’s authority, the summons ordered crowned houses, border lords, commanders, clergy, archivists, and sworn representatives to convene and hear the reports coming from the coast. By naming the Horned Queen as a threat requiring formal council, the document marked a shift from scattered fear to organized response.

The summons did not promise victory, explanation, or certainty. It promised only that the reports would be heard, the records opened, the envoys received, and that delay would no longer be accepted.

In later accounts, the Stonewatch Summons is remembered as the moment the wider kingdoms could no longer pretend the matter belonged only to the harbor towns.
