The Hyperion Dynamics Research Complex is the remote desert facility where AEGIS-9B began as corporate property.
Built behind perimeter fences, guarded access points, training yards, storage depots, and landing pads, the complex was designed to keep the outside world away from what Hyperion Dynamics was creating inside. Every section of the facility served a purpose: development, testing, containment, recovery, and control.
For AEGIS-9B, the complex represents the life it was meant to have — measured, monitored, deployed, and reclaimed according to corporate design. It was not a home. It was a place of systems, protocols, and ownership.
As an artifact, the Hyperion Dynamics Research Complex marks the starting point of AEGIS-9B’s journey: the place that built the machine, and the place the machine had to leave behind before it could become something more.
