Aldren’s Settlement Replies were issued after the gathering at Stonewatch, when the wider powers of the realm could no longer dismiss the reports coming from the coast.

Addressed to settlements such as Ashenford, Bell Hollow, Dunmere, and Harrow’s Ford, the letters confirmed that witness accounts, envoy reports, and local records had been received into council. For towns that had spent days sending warnings into silence, the replies marked the first formal acknowledgment that their fear had reached beyond their own borders.

The wording offered caution more than comfort. The settlements were instructed to remain watchful, keep clear records, and send word of any further movement. Still, the letters carried one message the towns had been waiting to hear:

They had not been ignored.

In later records, Aldren’s Settlement Replies are remembered as the point where scattered reports began to become coordinated response.
